Answers for everyday pet care

Meal Time for Pets FAQ

Caring for a pet can be simple and still raise plenty of questions. Find clear answers that help you organize the routine and use Meal Time with confidence.

What is Meal Time for Pets?

Meal Time is an app for recording meals, medication, weigh-ins, care actions, and one-off events, and for coordinating shared pet care.

How do I add my pet?

On Today, tap “Add a new pet,” enter the details you want to keep, and save.

How do I schedule a meal or medication?

Open the pet, add an action, choose its type, set the time and amount where relevant, choose days or a scheduled pattern, and save.

What is the difference between a scheduled action and Quick Log?

A scheduled action represents care expected in the future. Quick Log records an event that already happened and does not create a future reminder.

How do I mark care as complete?

Tap the relevant action on Today after it happens. Check the pet, action, and date before recording the outcome.

Can I record that my pet refused food or ate only part of a meal?

Use the action’s outcome menu. Some detailed outcome and note options may require premium access.

Can I track treats, walks, or water?

Yes. Quick Log lets you create custom named, icon-based buttons for one-off care events.

Can multiple caregivers use Meal Time?

Yes. With Group Hub, members can view activity and coordinate coverage. Available features depend on your group setup.

Why did I not receive a reminder?

Check iOS notification permission and the preference inside Meal Time. Also confirm the action’s schedule, pet, and date.

Does Meal Time replace veterinary advice?

No. Meal Time is a record-keeping and coordination tool, not a diagnostic, treatment, or emergency service.

Can I review completed or missed care?

Yes. Summary and history show recent activity, missed items, weekly completion, and other available records.

Can I use my data on another device?

For cross-device or group continuity, use the appropriate signed-in or claimed account state. Do not assume complete recovery from a guest session.
